"The Great Mincemeat Project"
(A Stirring Experience)

We need help to make our Mincemeat.
If you would come and stir it would be really neat.
I arrived; they gave me a spoon.
If you stir efficiently, you could be home by noon.

The instructions they gave me were very straight...
Remember when stirring make the figure eight.
The first batch was tested... It tasted hum-drum
No problem... Where's that Caribbean Rum?

My shoulder was now aching. My wrist was sore.
Is this pot ready? No ... stir some more!
I stirred and stirred for what seemed like days.
My body and souls were caught in a daze.

The suddenly, I heard the words ...
Words of appreciation and praise!
Thank you for coming! You've been a dear!
And, oh, by the way, will you stir for us again next year?

I replied: I will stir,
I will stir, I will stir with zeal.
I just hope my wrist and shoulder
have a chance to heal.
